The Internship & Career Program has been busy the past few weeks!
We connected with a great new partner called U
pbeat Academy that
teaches students music production through working with local producers and rappers. Victor has been loving his internship and got a chance to attend The BUKU Music Festival and represent Upbeat a few weeks ago.
We have also connected many of our students with programs that are working out of the
Youth Empowerment Project's space on OC Haley Blvd. Students have learned computer coding with
Operation Spark, bike repair and retail skills through the
Trafigura Work and Learn Center, and Digital Design through
New Orleans Design and Development LLC.
We are getting ready for the summer where the NET will have a summer
internship program that will run from June to July. We are excited what our
students will explore this summer through their internships!
