Internships Start


Brindy Jackson with mentor, Eric Kugler - Brindy Jackson was hired in September to join Groundwork NOLA's team of youth environmental activists. She is one of 3 high school interns in the New Orleans area.










 Brianne Lewis – Brianne Lewis is one of 15 students participating in the Institute of Women & Ethnic Studies’ Media Advocates for Prevention (MAP Program). Brianne is working in the area of public health by learning how to advocate for teen pregnancy and HIV prevention.


Dwayne Augustine – Dwayne Augustine was hired this year by Mr. Shane Colman as the school's technology assistant. During his free periods, Dwayne troubleshoots technology issues, giving his mentor time to address other students' concerns.  

Jarol Mejia - Jarol Mejia interviewed on October 1st with two instructors at Delgado Community College for a position as an automotive collision repair intern. If chosen, Jarol will get direct training in auto body and paint repair.
